WHAT’S A SUPER “K”

Years ago our charter captains got together and ask us for a contest among them themselves. Boat against boat, crew versus crew.  Simply put….we did.

Today we call it the SUPER K.  For entry fee of one hundred bucks, the best boat crews gather on Saturday morning in their speedy well-stocked craft. Forty to sixty boats wait in great anticipation at around 5 AM just outside the Two Rivers harbor.  We make some loud discussing noise, shotguns, alarms, fog horns or something and all these boats rise out of the water with the “petal to the metal” making wakes for miles around racing to what the Captain & Crew think is the best fishing hole that morning.  It’s a hoot to just watch these crazy people go fishing from the shore or breakwater.  Their reward…. the boat with the most legal weight by 12 noon, takes a minimum purse of ONE GRAND, or more. In a sliding scale we pay down several places.  The second best thing after winning a possible $1000 in the Super K, is you get to register all your fish in the regular Derby as well!

Please read up on the rules below, or contact Edie Schroeder at 920-793-1381. Come and pit your fishing skills against others, and the Great Lake Michigan.
What you do with the money….it’s up to you…. GOOD LUCK!
